All-Inclusive Rate

$400/ Night/ Person/ Sharing a Room

Simple, All-Inclusive Rider Rate

We established an all-inclusive rate, so you don’t have to bring your accountant on your vacation!  Our riders rate includes lodging,* meals, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages. Want more value?  We thought so!  Therefore, the all-inclusive rate will also cover all of your horseback riding and most all ranch activities (see optional activities and costs below)!  In addition, our all-inclusive rate includes your safety orientation and Introduction to Western Reinsman Clinic, as well as your guides, and helmet usage***.  Furthermore, historic tours away from the ranch are also included in your rate.  Please see Other Terms and Considerations below.

Our all-inclusive riders rate:

  • Our 2024 rate is $400.00 per person, per night, sharing a room, plus taxes.  (See our Specials page for any special offers.)
  • There is no minimum stay duration (see our page: Our Horses and Horseback Riding).  But plan on enough time to enjoy the riding and activities.
  • If one just wants to come and enjoy the ranch and not ride horses, please contact us for our non-rider’s rate.

See our Specials page for any discounted rates that apply to certain defined persons or groups for a specific period of time. Specials are limited to a space available basis.

Note: Please be aware that we are currently operating at reduced capacity as we work through the challenges of rehiring staff post-COVID-19. For safety reasons, we have temporarily limited our capacity to a maximum of four riders until we can fully staff our ranch.  We are sorry for the inconvinence.

Optional activities or costs:

There are a few optional activities or purchases for which one could occur an additional charge.  Some examples:

  • Tips: Most of our guests choose to tip the staff such as cooks, wranglers, and housekeepers.
  • Touring: Sometimes our guests choose to visit some of the local historical areas, such as Chloride, Magdalena, or Kelly. Hence, any entry fees, museum donations, and individual purchases will be at the guest’s additional expense.  Yet, touring transportation and meal costs are included in the nightly rate!
  • Individual Purchases: retail items purchased by our guests on tours at shops and stores, or from our limited gift shop.
  • Transportation: Our guests need to make their own transportation arrangements to and From the Ranch.  If you are flying into Albuquerque, Socorro, or Magdalena we can help you arrange for transportation.  Depending upon your length of stay, it is usually less expensive to rent a car.
  • Riding Lessons: Some guests choose to improve their riding skills by taking lessons in addition to our orientation or Introduction to Western Reinsman Clinic.  Therefore, with advance notice, we can arrange private or group riding lessons.
  • Shooting: Some people want to shoot firearms and some shoot a lot! Therefore, we charge what we pay for ammunition.    One MUST have some form of firearms safety certificate (e.g. NRA course or Hunter Safety).  Never shot before or you don’t have a firearms safety certificate?  No worries, we can provide the required safety instruction.  The Instruction is included in the all-inclusive rate, but the NRA sanctioned course requires 8 hours.

Terms and Considerations:

  • Because of our remote location, we need a week’s notice for bookings.
  • A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking.****
  • Horseback riding is a physical activity. Rider fitness is important for safety (yours and your fellow riders), reducing soreness, as well as being associated with reduced injury outcomes.  We can provide you a list of exercises to help you determine or improve your riding fitness.
  • We have a rider weight limit of 230 lbs.
  • For safety reasons, we do not allow children under the age of twelve.
  • Parents or guardians must accompany and be responsible for minors.
  • All children under the age of 16 must wear a helmet when on a horse.
  • There are no formal check-in or check-out times.  However, we recommend you arrive before lunch to get the most of your first day.
  • Because of the last pandemic, we have found it necessary to implement Contagious Disease Precautions.  You may read about them here.
  • Air Ambulance Insurance: Because of our remote location, please check your medical insurance to ensure it covers air ambulance costs.  If not, please see our Air Ambulance Insurance page for possible options.
  • Concho Hills Ranch does not have a liquor license and we will not be offering alcohol for sale.  However, if you want to bring your favorite libation we can keep it cool or provide the ice for you.  Consistent with New Mexico Law, No one under the age of 21 is allowed to consume alcohol at Concho Hills.

* All lodging is in our guest rooms.  We do not have facilities for parking or servicing trailers, RVs, horse trailers, or any vehicle other than personal automobiles and pick-up trucks.   BLM and the U.S. Forest service have strict rules regarding off-road use of vehicles.

** All horseback riding is on our horses.  Our insurance does not allow for guests to bring or use their own horses.  All riders need to know how our horses are trained (loose reign and work off the legs) before riding outside the arena.

*** Concho Hills can provide helmets.  Any rider choosing not to wear a helmet must sign an additional liability waiver.

**** Booking confirmation requires a 50 percent, non-refundable, deposit. In case of cancellation, your deposit will remain good for a period of one year for rebooking at Concho Hills.  Concho Hills Guest Ranch incurs costs when guests book for reservations.   Also, we may refuse additional guests (based on availability) during the time period booked by other guests. Because of the occasional need to cancel or postpone one’s stay, we suggest guests investigate potential advantages of travel insurance.
